Live shrimp could be your best bet as black drum and sheephead are mixed in.  Catch the incoming tide for best results.  Fish deep on the lower tide and float those shrimp under corks as the tide rises.  Winter fishing is on its way! Thanksgiving week is coming and the timing of trout up the river is the norm.  Look for bait schools to find the hot bite.  Shrimp will catch them but bouncing a paddletail and jig combination is my go to for both sand and speckled trout. This week the bite was mixed.  Some fish in the shallow  creeks and others in the deeper holes.  A mix of speckled trout, redfish, flounder and small black drum was the catch of the week.  As a new cold front approaches, look for fish to move deep on a cold morning in the St Marks River.
